We'd like to introduce ourselves before you arrive. We're you're hosts Jeremy and Niki Pike, and we are here to help you have a wonderful vacation from start to finish. Whether you need help figuring out where to eat in town, how to cook lobster, or how to get to a little known hiking trail, we live only a few kms down the road, and can provide you with help and first hand knowledge of what Cape Breton has to offer you. We are a happy family of four, and are proud to say that our children are the fifth generation to live on our family property. We have an intimate knowledge and respect of the area, and are often out and about enjoying the land, beaches and hiking trails. We keep a large organic garden, and sell our extra produce at the Cape North Farmers market. Up until 2017, we kept milking goats, pigs and chickens, and we still enjoy all aspects of farm living including making apple cider, homemade breads and cheeses, and crafts from the land like rustic furniture, rope mats and Christmas wreaths.
Jeremy can often be found singing in one of the local restaurants, or at one of our bi-weekly outdoor house concerts, when he's not busy building go carts for the kids, or helping neighbours with renovation projects. We enjoy being busy, and doing a variety of things, but we can always make time, and a cup of tea in the evening, for our friends and guests who visit us down on the farm.
